Thos. Forman Preservation Society was formed in 2001 and currently has over 100 members.
The objective of the Society is the preservation of printed matter produced by the former Company together with documents and memorabilia, much of which has been deposited with the Nottinghamshire Archives.
It also encourages former employees of the Company to maintain contact with each other through an annual reunion.
In January each year the Society publishes a newsletter, Inform Two, and an Historical Bulletin.
Membership is open to former employees and anyone interested in the history of local printing.
The current membership fee is £5 per person payable in January each year.
The Society is registered as a Charity for tax purposes with HM Revenue & Customs. This enables the Society to reclaim tax on subscriptions and donations through Gift Aid.
The Society is an institutional member of FONA (Friends of Nottinghamshire Archives) and the
Nottinghamshire Local History Association.
